Apple Core Flag Quilt

I have used many of the slit and sew templates and love this little apple core template.

In that posting is a little bit on the template, super simple, I layered 4 fabrics, cut the strips 5″ and then cut the templates out. I laid everything on the floor and built it out. I used multiple fabrics to make it scrappy. Here’s my scrappy red, white, blue scrappy fabric bundle in my ETSY shop.

I sewed my rows together, super simple, matching the slits, no pins. I free motioned quilted using the foot as a guided just went side to side. I did a bias binding and kept the apple core shape.

I’m excited to hang this as I have a child currently active infantry in the Army. Everyday our mean and women in the military amaze me. I am beyond grateful for the generous gift to all of all!
