Beautiful Burlap Fabric Bins

I love these bins. They are a great sewing project, a nice break from quilting. First let me say the pattern isn’t mine, head on over to Birch Organic fabrics for the pattern and instructions, afterwards make sure you look at all the beautiful fabric!

I used freezer paper to make my pattern, Love that Stuff!

I cut everything up at one time, kinda like assembly line style. I used Pandalicious from Art Gallery Fabrics for my lining and I had some other Art Gallery Fabric from my personal stash for the other set, simply lovely fabric!

I had left over TimTek that I used instead of the recommended Pellon Product

Of course I couldn’t stop at just making the baskets themselves, although I did love them plain, so I started embellishing them! First I made wool rag flowers with my sizzix die, You could cut circles and then fringe the edges with scissors.( However if you have the ability to get a sizzix I worship mine! Best gift ever!) Then I put buttons in the center and secured them with twine. I made simple Yo Yo’s and sewed tiny buttons in place, the green set got tiny yoyos in the center.

Then I love these little fabric rosettes that I made out of the fabrics used for the linings. For the tutorial jump over to Craftaholics Anonymous with Linda, that’s where I got my tutorial, make sure to follow her for all her great ideas!

These are the final product. Follow me while I continue to make things to put in my baskets!, The Gray and Green baskets are being donated for a basket raffle and I need to put some more things in there Hoping to use my Silhouette Cameo for something, We’ll see if that works! Until then enjoy your weekend!
