Quilting

Family Farm Style Pillow

Still loving my Well Said bundle !!!

I made another pillow to go with my Home pillow. I used the left over flying geese, see that posting to see how I made them, I wanted that scrappy look so I made lots of flying geese and auditioned the pieces, This is the left overs!

You want to make 2 stacks of 7 flying geese, stacking them on top of each other.

Sew a 1″ strip of the gingham to each side of the stack.

Out of a medium floral print, cut 2 pieces 2 1/2″ by the length of your stacked geese ( these are outside pieces)

and the center is 6 1/2″ wide by the length of your stacked geese,

After sewing the bottom section, square and trim.

Add a piece of gingham across the top of your stacked geese section , 1 1/2″ x 16 1/2″

Last, add the white piece on top, 4 1/2″ x 16 1/2″

Add your decal or decorate your white however you want, even pretty machine quilting.

Purchase decal here.

Add your decal before any quilting. Make quilt sandwich, the bottom I did stitch in the ditch, and the top I echoed around the decal and then tiny meandering.

I used the same binding from the other pillow and envelope style back to remove the pillow insert and change the case out.
